I'm back!

Greetings to all the loyal readers of my blog.  I greatly apologize for not blogging in several months.  A combination of things have kept me busy and I am here to update you all on how things have gone over that time.

Girls swim season was amazing, the time really flies by from August to November.  It was very rewarding watching so many of our Freshman and Sophomores really improve this year.  Our Juniors and Senior also had great improvements too.  I think the biggest thing for me this past girls season was watching every girl work hard to improve.  Each one was a success story.  I even had to dye my soul patch blue.  I made a deal with one of my underclassmen that if she made it to the NYS meet I would dye it Blue.  Well Blue it was after she qualified on the 200 Free Relay.

Boys Season started even before the girls state team had finished there season and what an incredible season it is.  We are still going strong after a 100% Best Time taper was pulled off at Sectionals this past weekend. So many great and memorable swims highlighted by our state qualifiying swims from Jeff Doser going 1:41.18 (2nd Place) in the 200 Free to go along with his 46.68 Championship in the 100 Free.  Greg McCord going 54.04 in the 100 Back, along with Andy Hossenlopp going 21.90 in the 50 Free and grabbing 3rd place from lane 3.  The 200 (2nd place) and 400 Free (3rd place)  relays also had huge swims from all 4 boys (Jeff Doser, Andy Hossenlopp, Andrew Lindskoog, and Casey Buscemi.  I am incredibly proud of my boys for all their hard work and dedication.  All 20 student athletes had amazing seasons.

I have also continued to work with Ed Denny's team at CAL U.  An incredible group of young ladies that are working their way to some BIG swims at PSACs.  They are very skilled group and work very hard.  It has been a lot of fun watching them improve and I am sure that their championship meet will be a great one.

I have learned a lot over the course of the last 7 months and the next couple of blog posts will be on some of those things.

The key to it all has been very simple...

Swim Smart + Have Fun = Swim Fast!

The BLUE Soul Patch (which is back to orange...)
